BUDAPEST, Hungary — On March 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM, the documentary film The Hybrid Citizen will have its premiere screening at Budapest, Erzsébet krt. 39, 1074.
Produced by the Latvian investigative media outlet Bonum Publicum Media, the film explores the activities of Petr Aven, a billionaire and high-ranking member of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s inner circle. The Hybrid Citizen provides a fact-based, documented account of how a «hybrid invasion» of the European Union is orchestrated under the guise of «apolitical philanthropy» and «commercial interest.»
The investigation reveals how Latvia serves as an entry point for Kremlin-linked influence and capital, with a network of «metastases» reaching into Hungary and Slovakia. The film details how oligarchs—who often pose as «liberals» or «anti-war» figures—actively participated in the preparations for Putin’s aggression. It further exposes the methods used to subvert European power structures through corruption and the exploitation of a «fake» Russian opposition.
The premiere is supported by the European Journalists’ Society.
